Sacristans
Sacristans are those who help in the preparation of the liturgical celebration of the Mass. Duties include setting up, preparing the sacred vessels, preparing the gift of bread and wine, and ensuring the readings of the day are properly selected.
The sacristan at Daily Mass serves the altar at liturgy as well ensures a lector and eucharistic ministers are selected. The Sacristan also ensures the Altar is properly prepared (lighting candles, gifts set up, etc.).
After Mass the sacristan is responsible for cleansing the sacred vessels and returning everything to its proper place.
